Celebrating Teachers at Black Swagger
Teachers are one of the most inspiring people in our lives, who we become in future is greatly influenced by our teachers. No one can underestimate their role in our lives and in our society. Reason why we all gathered under the banner of Black Swagger Poetry Slam, organized by The Greens, La Liberte Arts Group, Y’ems Group and F2 productions to celebrate teachers on the 23th of October 2016.
It was another exiting and educative moment spend at the Blue Pearl hotel’s conference room with great poems from veteran poets like Professor Lem of The University of Bamenda, Patience and Ann the youngest poets of Black Swagger, the Amazing Patience a writer and spoken word artist and Motanni one of the greatest motivational speakers in our country, just to name a few. The event was equally graced by great musical performances from Bamenda based artists like Zita Light who trilled us all in her amazing song titled “Saka” (Click here to watch the song), Bigi Ranom who trilled us all with his great voice and the VASH Creww that was just so amazing that night.
The show was equally spiced up by some CreaVia that came from our own Secretary General, who was equally a co-host to the show Yembe Nfor together with Budji Kefen.
We remember that Black Swagger poetry slam is not about color or race, but about recognizing the power of poetry in bringing about positive change in our society
